Adafruit Sensirion SHT45 Precision Temp & Humidity with PTFE
The Adafruit Sensirion SHT45 is the highest-accuracy sensor in the SHT4x family, delivering ±1.0% typical relative humidity accuracy and ±0.1 °C typical temperature accuracy. Featuring a PTFE membrane for protection against dust and water ingress, it's built for demanding environments and precision applications.
The breakout includes a voltage regulator and level shifting, making it compatible with both 3.3 V and 5 V systems. STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors allow solderless hookup, and Arduino and CircuitPython libraries are available for quick integration.
Key Features
- Relative Humidity Accuracy – ±1.0% RH typical (25–75% RH) — best in the SHT4x family
- Temperature Accuracy – ±0.1 °C typical (0–75 °C) — best in the SHT4x family
- PTFE Membrane – Protects the sensor against dust and water while allowing accurate humidity measurement
- True I2C Interface – Address 0x44, fast mode plus with CRC checksum
- Ultra-Low Power – Ideal for battery-powered applications
- Variable Power Heater – Built-in heater for defogging and self-testing
- 3.3 V / 5 V Compatible – Onboard voltage regulator and level shifting
- STEMMA QT / Qwiic Connectors – Solderless I2C connection and daisy-chaining
Also Consider
- SHT41 Sensor – Mid-range option with ±1.8% RH typical accuracy at lower cost
- SHT40 Sensor – Budget-friendly option with similar typical accuracy at 25–75% RH
Ideal For
- Precision environmental monitoring and calibration
- Scientific research and laboratory instruments
- HVAC and climate control systems requiring high accuracy
- Outdoor and industrial applications (PTFE protected)
