
3-Axis Gyro/Accelerometer IC - MPU-6050
The MPU-6050 is a 6-axis motion processing IC that combines a MEMS 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis accelerometer on a single silicon die. An onboard Digital Motion Processor (DMP) handles complex MotionFusion algorithms, eliminating cross-axis alignment errors that can occur with discrete sensor components.
The integrated DMP can also access external magnetometers via an auxiliary I2C bus, enabling full 9-axis motion sensing without burdening the host processor. This is the bare IC in a QFN package — a breakout board or custom PCB is required for use.
